I have been dieting for 2 1/2 weeks now. I joined WW & are eating all my points. I cut out red meat, junk food et et. I've been eating healthy food like chicken, fish, brown rice, salads & veggies...I now eat 3 meals a day w/2 ww snacks. I used to only eat 1 big meal at dinner & snack through the day, so my eating habits have gotten better, cuz I now know u have to eat to lose weight. But my close are getting tighter!!! I feel like im gaining weight! Whats goin on? Why is this happening?

Two things (I've lost 95 pounds eight years ago and kept it off). Your eating to many calories and not exercising enough. Simple. You have to experiement to see how much more does your body needs to break? Try adding 15 more minutes exercise or cutting back 100-200 calories a day until you see results. Also, so you don't over do it and want to give-up. In the food area replace what you eat normally with just something that has the same amount of volume , but less calories. I've gone by the advice of many types of diets combined. Like for example... replace that one piece of bread with two cups of a green vegetable instead. Instead of white starch have a green veg instead. Weight Watchers is great, but sometimes they recommend the wrong foods that don't knock off the weight. Like, they might say to exercise 30 minutes a day too, five days a week. Bullcrap, that aint enough! I had to exercise one hour a day, 7 days a week to get the blubber off! Go to library and check out diet books and read up. Try ideas from all of them. The best one that I got ideas from was The Zone. Some people dog it because it's extreme no carbs. What the hell- it works- look at the movie stars! Then, there is the #1 secret- you have to keep yourself motivated by hyping yourself up. Tell yourself how much better you are going to feel,ect... to loose the weight. Eat right= feel good or eat that junk you think will be so good= feel like crap afterward. Stuff like that.

It sounds like you're making great strides to lose some weight and you're really sticking to it. Good job!

My question for you is this: what is your exercise regimine? Generally it takes 30 minutes a day, 3 days a week to maintain one's weight; therefore, it will take more time and more days per week to take some weight off.

Weight loss is certainly not overnight, as you undoubtedly know. Even if you join a gym tomorrow, even with WW, you will likely not see any results for 4, 6, or even 8 weeks. Your body has to get used to all of this healthy behavior!

I am where you are, in reverse; I am not in WW, but I've been working out since the beginning of January. I'm plateauing a little bit, at least with my slightly healthier eating and 4 days x 45 min - 1.5 hr / day workout plan, and now I need to kick it into high gear again.

The worst thing is that if you do not exercise with WW, you will either need to prepare to be on WW for the rest of your life to maintain your desired weight or accept that the weight will come back if exercise is not accompanying the weight loss.

I envy you because I'd love to have the will power to do WW and the exercise too! Good luck!

changing the diet is a start in the right direction but to really lose weight you need to incorporate exercise in addition to healthy eating for faster results. Keep eating well but add some good cardio
