Soak it in sweet milk overnight. If it works on javelina, it should work on goat.

If the smell is too strong, it most likely was butchered badly, allowing the fur to come into contact with the meat. Also, it is possible that the meat could have gone bad. However its important to keep in mind that goat by its nature has a gamey odor that will usually persist despite marination. If you buy goat you should expect a certain odor.

First rule about goat meat, don't ever wash it with water. Once the washed with water, the smell will be inside forever. Don't put on the freezer. Once you buy from the butchery ask the fresh one.
you can marinate directly with wine or bbq sauce for steak and put on the refrigerator for a night.

It depends on how strong the odor of the goat's meat is. You might have to get a concentrated cleaner called "Goat's Meat Smell-B-Gone". I think they have it at Farm & Fleet.

TO GET RID OF THIS SMELL(ODOR),ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUT SOME WHITE WINE IN YOUR MARINADE.LET IT SOAK OVERNIGHT AND COOK IT WELL THE NEXT DAY.REMEMBER TO COOK IT SLOW,DONT RUSH THE COOKING,LET THE JUICES FLOW AND TRY TO GET RID OF THE FIRST JUICE AFTER YOU START TO COOK.IT WILL TASTE GREAT.
