Why do dogs like to place their toys on you when they are chewing on them? Mine loves to place it against my leg or in my lap! I find it really cute.

My dog does that, too. Then she gets very angry if I try to take it! She's either still wanting to be close while she plays, or just finding a spot where the darn thing won't keep sliding away from her. ^_^

Our one dog Chloe used to do that and not only with toys, sticks and rocks too! I think they like to show you "how" they like to play because they like recognition and approval.

I'm happy for you...because you are right...it is fun!

In general, dogs like to be close to their master. You can ask a behaviorist about these things. http://www.dogchanne.com has one that answers questions like this for free.

Mine do that too & I take it as they want to share but don't want to give it away. I usually end up playing tug with them.
