I hear so many cruel things being thrown at us Muslims and our religion of Islam. When in Islam were taught to respect others no matter what. I do not find it fair that the bad extremist who follow their own made up Islam have got a bad name for all of us normal people. I am a normal girl just like any other. The only differance is my faith. Its very sad to me that people think of us the way they do.

for the girl who brought up 9 11. I did not do do the act nor would I ever even think of such a bad thing as most people. So why should I say I am sorry for something that I did not even do? Why dont you tell me you are sorry the oklahoma city bombing? A white american terrosit did that.

It is sad, and embarassing that so many in the U.S. are intolerant and bigoted toward Muslims. Unfortunately we have a long history of such behavior during times of war or difficulty. Hopefully over time education will enlighten people and open their minds.

Some people do, yes. But those are the type of people who judge the whole group by the few crazy people out there. Just because a couple of crazy extremists do horrible things doesn't mean everyone in that religion does. Sadly, some people don't realize this. I know several muslims and they are some of the kindest, nicest people I've ever met. So I know better :)
edit: i love your analogy to the bombing. and you're right. you should not have to apologize for something some idiots did.

don't think like that. its not only islam, many other religions are suffering from same problem. i am a sikh girl, and respect the muslims and islam.lets not worry , but take initiative to change the thinking of the whole world.we are the next gen and have ability to do that. religion should not be considerd beyond nationality. first comes world, than nation, than humanity, and after that religion. so don't worry, every thing will be fine but it will take time.

Ever hear of 9/11? What I dislike {not hate} is that non radical people who are Muslim do not condemn the incident especially the mullahs. I am sure that some do but sadly they are few and far between. My parents told me a story about a couple named Rosenberg who sold Russia top secrets in the 50' s and were executed. They said that 100 per cent of the Jewish community condemned them for the horrible thing that they did and I researched this incident and saw that it was true. I am sure you are a normal nice person, I don't hate you but
I doubt we'd have a lunch together. Good luck

instead of seeing ourselves as victims we need to do something to change the image of Islam that has been presented to the world by a few extremists. instead of being reactive we should be proactive....
God will not change a people's situation until they change themselves

How can you blame people for being disgusted by the acts of numerous muslims around the world. Who cares if some of them are nice. Enough are not.
