In general, yes. Only because there are lot things for a 8 years old to play other than online poker. When he/she grows up, the poker will still be there. You only have one childhood. Do not waste it on poker.

yes, why would you allow him to play poker online than studying his homework. He should be reading books to sharpen his mind for next school year. If you allow this how soon do you think that he will be playing for money with some older kids. And when he come home with some money and you know that you haven't give him any, what would you thinking how he got hold the money? Would drugs be your first thoughts? Be a parent to your child and teach him better things about life before him. ok.

I play online Poker but I am a grown adult. If it was my 8 year old I would have no problem with him wanting to play poker, but I would limit it to the home family game. Keep it fun and family time

as long as the 8 year old is playing free money games i have no problems with it. people tend to forget the math skills that are involved in playing poker. i would also make sure that the 8 year old is supervised while playing. i have a little guy and will put him on my lap when i am playing. i will also play home games with him and try to explain what is going on.

Windows xp is a good system , agree , very easy to use as well as windows 7, vista had to many issues with it , is why microsoft jump out with windows 7 , we all know that windows xp will end in 2014 , heck it was said so many times online , there were some issues when windows xp came out but service packs took care of the issues, the main thing was being a secure os system while windows 7 is more secure OS wise , windows 7 also is great for for he wants it for.

For money? Yes.
For fun? Not really. Her parents just need to be cautious about who she meets online and that the subject matter is appropriate for her age.
