Hell's bells and Oriental smells! I'm no expert.
I'm just an opinionated old fart with a computer.
I've had plenty of experience with people, I'm pretty widely experienced with firearms and hunting, I've had some training in financial planning, I'm a fair hand at leatherwork, I am a somewhat talented actor (but I don't sing or dance worth a d-a-m-n), I am one helluva camp cook, a fair writer, a lousy typist, and a decent chef. I've traveled a bit (though not as much as I'd like), I am widely read, and I'm a pretty fair amature historian.
Any advise I give is based on experience, education, or observation of other people. And as it is freely given, folks are quite welcome to value it for whatever it is worth to them.
That takes care of me, what are you doing here Dan and what qualifies you to answer questions? :-p

How about those of us that are already educated, worked for over 40 years still have a brain, a wealth of experience and guess what, a computer and lets face it--some of the questions and the spelling are true entertainment---if I don't think I have a viable answer I don't post one. I am not an expert on anything but boy have I been versatile in life. Not all people on computers are just geeks some of us can honestly say that we can afford to sit in front of one without feeling guilty or neglecting some undone chore. I never profess to be an expert on anything but I am honest and I can type like a blur. Think about this one---how do all the people in the states find the hours to protest and march and they can't take the time to vote or to work?

Life experience is sometimes better than a formal education. Also, people work in various fields and learn tons of information. The older you get the more tried and true formulas for things are learned. I find this is a wonderful outlet for myself, to share information and to learn from others ideas and experiences. I have not been mislead on any questions I've asked, and even though there always has to be a "funny guy" in the crowd, your common sense should tell you on whether an answer has any merit or not. I really enjoy this forum, and appreciate Yahoo's ingenuity on beginning this. It's an awesome resource!

I think you are taking it too seriously. Some people can get the answers they want and give answers to help people too, but not everyone cares if they became a top contributor or not. Some hard working people out there work on computers all day so that is why it is easy for them to get on the site and use it often. Don't be so quick to judge who is hard working and educated and who isn't. Don't be so quick to judge who knows what and who doesn't on this site as well. If people get the answers they need and are satisfied then isn't that what this site is supposed to be about?
