when they "matter of factly" speak of their god, as though he definitly exsists and they know exactly what he want from them. They know all of gods rules, but they are different from 'that guys' gods rules. What god really exsists? Allah? Jesus? Buda? Heffner? Pink Unicorn?

a lot of these answers prove it. Please don't pray for me, because I will continue to SIN every chance I get. You all would see that I am a very good citizen(I hold doors, etc.). But your church BS is not for me. I will continue to live for the moment, while all of you prepare for your afterlives. Besides, if there were a god, I would rather go to hell because I would find better company there.

I have a friend who believes in creation and follows all the rules about eating at a certain time before going to church, making sure they have enough cash for the plate they pass around, etc., but is really a hypocrite because their religion dictates no sex unless you're married and they're having sex all the time. These people are so screwed up that it is no wonder they believe in organized religion. A truly smart person would never believe in this nonsense.

I do know that God exists and although I do not always know what he wants of me immediately, He does make his purpose clear eventually. I do not know if my God is the same God that speaks to others...regardless of their religious affiliation. I can judge other people's Gods by the way the believers in that God behave. My God is one of love and acceptance and also a God that asks for my obedience to his rules. Are we foolish to believe? For those of us who do...the answer would be No.

No I dont think they are foolish. There are many different religions and there is a reason why someone chooses his/her religion. Of course each person who believes in god and their religion thinks theirs is the only true one. No one will know for sure until the day they die when they either end up in hell or heaven. All we can do is hold true to our faith.

You can't know God's Rules. Like any parent, he doesn't make rules that can be turned back against him, although the kids might try to.

Isaiah 55:9
"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Now that I'm thinking of it, maybe that's what Revelation 13 is about. The dragon-voiced lamb pretends to be "like" a parent. This is Christian cults. I'm so angry. I was brought up in one. In this way, they pretend that they know what God is like, but nobody does. Who can predict God's salvation so as to do it themselves? It's beyond us.

It is good to have a strong faith in God, but unfortunately this can lead to an arrogance that turns people off. Especially those who are looking for a reason not to believe.

You must have faith in something, the question is what will it be?

Ask a bunch of
tenth graders a
silly question and
get a silly answer.
Some say tomato,
some say tomatoe.
There are as many answers,
as there are questions and as
many questions, as there are people.
Faith is personal, call it what you may.

Wow. What a question/rant. So, you don't believe in God, blah, blah, blah, so naturally you're in R&S. Does something seem contradictory here to you? I mean, isn't that you amusing atheists battle cry against the believers? That they are contrdictory somehow?
Was there no room for you in GLBT? Mythology(now there's a place for you silly-assed atheists to be!!)? Or is it that they don't want you?
Somebody get a can of Raid in here to spray these cockroaches.

What you believe in is for you to decide...no one can ever make you truly believe something in your heart..

I personally believe that Jesus died on the cross to save us...

I think what you need is some vacation time to find yourself

I'll pray for you every night...

Buddha is not a god, and does not exist. He died a long time ago. I doubt that disagreeing with a religion requires you to behave contrary to it.

You think faith is foolish. That's fine. I am not faithful, but I don't think people are less intelligent for their faith.
