well as they say, men are monogamous, they all cheat sooner or later.
If you have a great relationship, is it wise to put up sometimes with being cheated on or no?

All men do not cheat and often times they are confronted by other men as wimps! It is not wise to put up with a cheater when will it end and often times the woman begans to look much older than the man because of depression and anger.I met a guy once and he told me the first time he and his lady made love he had a tear in his eye it was so goood. He got a call from an ex,she asked him to come to this city and she was having a party, could he come. He did not answer her right away. He said I will call you back.He said I thought about it,I thought what if my lady got a call from her ex and she went to his party, and did not tell me, what if something happened between them, could I face her. I called my ex back and said no.It was over long time ago and this is good and I did not want to mess up....I love her..see when a man loves a woman he can not and will not sleep around especially when she is good to him in more whys than one..the two become one....

If you call it being cheated on, and it gets in the way of how you feel, perhaps jealousy, or if he is dishonest with you about it and that bothers you, then it's not worth it...There is always someone who you will like just as much or even better that will feel the same about you and treat you how you should. There are, who knows, how many people living in this world, and if one guy treats you wrong, there are plenty others you could get to know. If you feel cheating is ok because of this great relationship, perhaps you should consider just being friends...I mean, what's the point of a relationship if others are included. You could always cheat on him, but it leads back to the point of why be in a relationship then.

Monogamous means one partner.

Not all men cheat. You should not accept being cheated on. As a point of fact, I have been married twice for a total of forty years and never cheated. But my first wife cheated for several years before I finally gave up on her and divorced her.

When you accept being cheated on you are enabling your partner to go on and cheat even more, and you don't have a great relationship.

The only exception is if a partner slips and cheats once or a couple of time, regrets it and never does it again. You can elect to forgive him (or her) if that happens, but you should never put up with "sometimes being cheated on," unless you have such low self-esteem you think you can do no better.

Chances are you CAN do better, and you should.

No. Cheating is not acceptable. Cheating is deception and breach of trust.

And also no, not all men cheat. Where did you get that "fact". Study after study has shown that 40% of men have or are cheating on their spouse, and the number isn't much better for women at around 33%. In laymen terms that means if you randomly gather up 10 men and 10 women and put them in a room, 4 of the men have cheated on their wife/girlfriend and 3 women have cheated on their husband/boyfriend.

So women cheat as virtually as much as men do. THAT is fact.

Whoah! Hold up girl... it's been proven that just as many women cheat as men do (it's just that men often get caught more easily). It's not OK to put up with being cheated on, however if you decide to give him a second chance... that's mature and forgiving and you will need to set some boundaries. People cheat not because they are "bad people" but because they have needs (emotional, physical) that aren't being met. Talk to him. But just 2 chances would be my limit before I send them packing for good!

No. You CAN forgive someone for cheating on you- but you also need to address the issue and let him know how damaging cheating is for a relationship. They don't all cheat sooner or later- don't give them an easy out like that.

One time maybe, the second time......no. I am a guy that put up with a cheating wife, the first time, she came back, said it was done, that everything would be back to normal in time. I gave it time, and just about the time I was trusting her again in my head AND my heart, I found out it was all a lie. Sorry baby, it isn't all about the men !!! And also, if you are in love, think about it, there is alot of damage done the first time, but never as much as the second or third.

It's never wise to put up with being cheated on. Do something. Either work on trust and make him work as hard as hell to keep you. Or put it down to experience by moving on.

If you have a great relationship there will be no cheating. It's his insecurity that HE needs to work on. I never understand why cheaters want to be in a relationship. It's called indecision!

Oh where to begin. First of all, monogamous means that they only are with one woman. Second, not all men cheat. My husband would rather die than cheat (and if he did, I'd kill him anyway ;) jk

Don't put up with a cheater--they'll only continue to hurt you and there are too many great guys out there that want real commitment.

Good luck!

Whoa there Missy, all men do not cheat.

If you have a great relationship as you say, why would the other one cheat?

And no I wouldn't put up with being cheated on. It's the ultimate in disrespect to your partner. I'd never do it and I expect reciprocation from my partner.

My wife knows it would be like shooting herself in the head, there's only one shot and your gone.
