how do you ask some one to be there fan?

Simply click on their avatar. It will take you to their profile. On the profile, under their id, will be a little green plus sign and the words, "Add to my Contacts". Just click on those words and they will be added to your fan list. That person will then get an email telling them that you are their newest fan. If they want to be your fan, they can click on a link in that email which will then add you to their contact list.

Also, IF they have their email activated, when you click on their avatar, and go to their profile, there will be an email address. You can always email them by clicking on their email address. Please note, not everyone chooses to allow other users to contact them
