...on YA? It's basically the same myths being rehashed over and over, the same holidays recycled and renamed to suit whatever religion is currently in power.

It's all myth, baby!

I was thinking the exact same thing. All religions, in the end are mythology. The broad definition of mythology being that it is the tool that mankind uses to explain the world around him.

And so many religions are based off of each other. Romans took their religion from the Greeks. I'm sure Christians took their's from the Muslims and Pagans.

Oh yeah... And all religion is not only a myth, but THEOLOGY. It's all theory! :D

Mythology is reserved for the classic thoughts that have been gone by way of each and every custom. it truly is folklore and the legends of in the past. this is the thoughts that we don't understand authors for or the historic previous in the back of them. All all of us understand is they exist and proceed to be studied and instructed. this is the thoughts in Norse, Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and different cultures of that era. they're all polytheistic in nature. there's a key element in those issues. no person debates those being actuality. human beings debate Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and so on as being actuality. they're religions based upon a direction to peace or eternal existence. they don't seem to be issues explaining familiar occurences like many of the mythological thoughts are. no person remains following the likes of Zeus and Anubis, yet human beings nevertheless and perpetually will persist with God.

Prove it.

People (at least 5 billion of them in a 6 billion world) beleive in either Religion or Spirtuality, but FEW believe in Mythology (Hercules, Zeus, etc.) and Folklore (Lepricons).

It's that simple. Only a few million actively worship Zeus. 2.2 billion rever Jesus and God and 1.1 billion revere Muhammad and Allah. And 800 Million reverse Khrisna and 800 million revere Buddah.

Right enough, the difference being that "Myths" are either fictional religions, or religions that aren't actively practiced anymore.

They are different subjects if you got a education you would know that.

A myth is a religion in which no one any longer believes.

It is NOT all myth, just because you are blind to the truth doesn't mean everyone is.

One category is for people grounded in reality. The other category is for people who are delusional. As we've all seen, these two personality types do not mix well.

For some, it's a life and death matter. People don't generally get executed by torture over folktales.
