Why am I so fond of all of you? Even the ones who disagree with me.
(you know who you are :)
Here I am, connecting to avatars and nicknames, sharing insights and playing games on this virtual playground. yet the connections are valid.(are they?)
I've never met a single one of you in 'real life'. What's your explanation?

Some things you just know :-) and can't be disputed

Welcome to thought world, a world where a thought can change your day.. gee I wish we had bodies to really help get our message across, hmm what can we do about that??? I wonder :-)

It is valid. Our emotions are very real. As real as anything in this world can be.

This is a place where we can reach out to each other accross the miles in a way that many people will never do side by side. Some of the things we say here we would not generally say to anyone. Some we would. It would sure take a lot longer to get around to everyone in the flesh! LOL! A life time!

So, I think from the beautiful things expressed here..that most of us deeply appreciate sharing this experience together. Who knows..one day some of us may meet. Perhaps we even know each other already but don't realize it? That would be funny! Some people here have met I think. Oh well.

Don't you think that seeing each other would influence us? It shouldn't, but this is so cool that it can't. Isn't that seeing more clearly?

Who knows..perhaps when we are asleep we all meet up in a grove somewhere. Hmmm.

Peace and love.

Jamie

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that you can just plunge right into the really deep conversation with us without having to go through the interminable "niceties" that real-life contact entails. There is something to be said for straight talk in a forum! It is about the ideas and the personality comes out through the words, not things like nervously waiting for the other person to offer you tea or tell his dog to stop jumping on you or watching the shifting of his gaze as he wonders if anyone else besides you is gonna show up at his party, or other things that physical contact inevitably forces us to deal with. All hail the Internet! Cheers, Sunman! I like you too-- you have great thoughts!

Unconditional love too, can be practised easier , beginning with self. The 'about me' in profile says it all !
And then, it could be just a matter of time, when it permeates, without waiting for even an 'approval' (about those who disagree), affording us to see a reflection, a glimpse of the very same self in others around. The deeper levels of perception obviates the need (or, it renders irrelevant) of meeting people in 'real life' (by the way, which is more 'real' ?).

I've been thinking about this just recently.
Can you love someone you have never met?
Well, yes!
At one level, of course, we're all connected within The Field. So that subtle physical connexion does exists, if we access it.
On the level of the Spirit we are all one. I know that to be true from personal experience - as do 'others' of us, I'm sure.
So, The Eternal is playing at being Sunman and Mumof4 and CD and all the rest - and loving it!
I have a number of virtual 'pen' friends, never met'em, only know their names and, perhaps, where they live. Do I love them? Yep!

Thankyou, Sunman, for your question. And thanks to the rest for being out there - and in here as well.

Of course the connections are valid.... you get to have a part of us, that most people in the real world do not..... we are known to you, yet anonymous... we share thoughts with you that we might not have a chance to share in the world otherwise..... In some ways, you get a more intimate view of us, than many friends or family members, and you only get to "see" our thoughts, without external distractions.....

Under the cloak of anonymity we can be so fond of each other. There is no pain or hurt as in real life situations.Does this lead to a kind of escapism ? Better to watch out against this peril, because it may lead us to become oversensitive in the real world. What do you feel ?

Judging by the great answers here, I'd say the connections are valid. Like minds flock together I guess!

Maybe even cosmic consciousness. Who knows, but it's fun!
