find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

The healthiest way to loose weight is to eat a healthy diet (don't go on a diet - but change your diet to be more healthy) - this means eat more vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and try avoid sugars, starches and processed carbs (like white bread, donuts, etc) as much as possible.
Also drink more water and less sodas (even the sugar free kind). Try also drinking things like green tea.
Add to that exercise - which is the key to any weight loss program - try walking 30 minutes/day as a start.

Water is a very very very good way to lose weight. a lot of the time when you think you may feel hungry, you're actually thursty. here's a good way of knowing how much water you should drink, Take your body weight and divide that by 2, what ever you come up with, thats the amount of ounces of water you should be taking in daily. Eat in portions. don't starve yourself with only eating half of everything, just take it easy and eat until you're content, never full.. do cardio as well, such as the elliptical, treadmill, stair master etc... i do 40 mins of cardio/day and i feel good all the time. your best asset, in my opinion, would be to drink water, eat in moderation (which means eat EVERYTHING you've always eaten, just limit you're portions), and try to get some excercise in daily. you'll do great. hope this help ;)

I need to lose weight too.
I have also decided not to starve myself, but take a healthier method on.
healthy eating habits and exersize.
I dont want to do anything that has the word DIE in it.LOL
I have gotten a little lazy(sigh)but i am going to use my direct t.v. to my advantage. There are all kinds of fittness shows on everyday.
I suggest you find exersize that works for you.
Not all of us can run on a treadmill for 2 hrs,but most of us find walking,if even just around the blok, very helpful.
Good luck, wish me some too cause i need it.

Eat wisely, know your portions, calories, etc....and get some exercise. You can start with walking just for a few minutes and keep adding things as you feel comfortable. Don't think of yourself as being on a "diet", but more of a lifestyle change for the better! Good Luck!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

i've seen a few people do the weight watchers thing and it really worked for them. plus you can eat whatever you want it's just portion control and it's not hard to follow.
