And god didn't help Holy Russia? As I understand it, America set out to bankrupt the U.S.S.R. by escalating the arms race, subsidising farmers to destroy their grain markets and using any means possible. But who " won " ? Breaking up the U.S.S.R. saw the emergence of fanatical islamists who are murdering Americans daily. It also gave rise to the Russian mafia which is endeavouring to achieve dominance in the drug and pornography rackets---and who are their best customers? Why its the good old affluent Americans !
So, congratulations America, on " winning " the Cold War.

The word "god" is nowhere in the Constitution.

I don't think that adding random words to the money and the pledge did anything, although it may have worked to boost the morale of the theists in the country. THAT may have helped, I don't know. I wasn't even a twinkle at that point!

"The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining supercapitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control.... Do I mean conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent." -- Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976

"The invisible Money Power is working to control and enslave mankind. It financed Communism, Fascism, Marxism, Zionism, Socialism. All of these are directed to making the United States a member of a [One] World Government ..." -- AMERICAN MERCURY MAGAZINE, December 1957, pg. 92.

It had more to do with melding capitalism, religion and the military - industrial complex that Ike warned about. It's still a problem. It's still Unconstitutional.
