You know what? You are not that far from knowing the answer yourself. Yes, that's right, Jesus is God, and God isn't exactly as simple as "God is One." Nope! it's not that simple.
What complicated things is the use of certain words in the Old Testament, and the revelation ( not the Book) of Jesus Christ.
Because in the New Testament , Jesus called himself God. And even though you cannot see it too clearly in English, the Jews knew that he did. I will post that scripture below in case you hate scripture and then you won't have to read it. As I was saying, then God called Jesus God, and oh yeah, that's another scripture, so yes, on the bottom with you!
Well, I guess that it's scripture time:
The Jews knew Jesus was saying that he is God:
John 10
33The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
GOD CALLS JESUS GOD:
Hebrews 1
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God WORSHIP HIM.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

From your question, I am getting that you understand the theory of the Holy Trinity. There are 3 persons that make up God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. They are all one God. To pray to God the Son or Jesus, is the same as praying to God the Father. This also shows that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, something that the Jews refuse to believe. Jesus is not just "someone", He is God. Trust in this thought.

They are three in one, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. it is through Jesus that we have to ability to strive to enter the strait gate and walk the narrow way, through the son, we can reach the father.

whilst i became an atheist, I had to return to have confidence that there became a God, formerly i might ever dream of heavily interpreting the Bible. In my case I got here to the tip that God existed formerly I became a Christian and studied the Bible. yet information is yet another count number completely. What I evaluate information is very for sure of no effect to particular different kinds of people. All of my information is rather brushed aside with cynicism. The cynic sees no solid in something. Love is lust, intercourse is instinct, excitement is endorphins, and there is not any God. this is the innovations of the cynic. desire that facilitates.

God the Father--God the son--God the holy Spirit
If all three are one God then Jesus is part of the God head thus he is God. Very logical

Christians believe that the ONE true God is a HOLY TRINITY (God the Father, GOd the son (Jesus) , and God the HOly Spirit). Therefore, all three beings are each GOD, but they are one God.

I pray to God in Jesus' name.
I worship God.
I accept Jesus as the only begotten Son of God who sacrificed himself for the sins of the world.

You're exactly right. That's why praying to ANYONE or ANYTHING except God is idolatry for Jews. There is no such thing as a man being God, or a "god/man" who was conceived by a virgin and God impregnating her, this is ancient pagan mythology. It does not come from Judaism, who despises such things as idolatry. In Judaism, the Messiah is conceived and born of a righteous Jewish married couple in the usual way, and he is NOT worshipped, and he is NOT anything more than a righteous man - not any kind of "god". It is GOD who will make the miracles of "no more war", "no more illness", etc. that are the prophecies that will be fulfilled during the Messiah's lifetime. The Messiah will rule as king of Israel, and cause the Jews in the rest of the world to be ingathered, and will begin the building of the 3rd Temple. The Messiah will not be killed as some sort of virgin human blood sacrifice for sin - again, this is a pagan mythology brought in by the Christian Church for itself, and has NEVER been a part of Judaism. Also, note that Jesus did not fulfill any of the prophecies (of which there are actually only about 16 or so original prophecies, not the ridiculous hundreds that the Christians claim, and have "back-engineered" into the text). Look up Mithraism and other old pagan religions and you'll see where the story of Jesus comes from, almost exactly line by line.
In Judaism, there is ONLY God, and that does not include any mediator, or any "son" who is to be worshipped and prayed to as a part of God. The Priests did the work in the Temple, each and every Jew prayed DIRECTLY to God, and only to God. The Jews did NOT pray to the Priest nor pray in the name of the Priest, nor consider the Priest to be anything but a man, in the lineage of Aaron the Cohen (Priest), and NOT someone to put in between themselves and God to go through to get to God.
A little word about the Priesthood. There are NO legitimate priesthoods (including Catholic priests or any other) on planet earth EXCEPT those in the lineage of Aaron, as given IN PERPETUITY (forever) as stated by God in the Torah.
The supposed "new" priesthood represented by Melchizedek (which means "righteous king" as in a human king who ruled righteously), is used by Christians to supposedly show that the Priesthood was taken away from the lineage of Aaron and given to Jesus, and is thus a "new" priesthood. Christianity cites Abraham going out and giving tithes to Melchizedek to prove that Melchizedek must have been a great Priest or Abraham would never have given him tithes. This is true, Melchizedek WAS a great Priest. But he is the DIRECT paternal ancestor of Aaron, not some NEW bloodline.
The Priesthood is passed down ONLY from father to son, to son, to son. That's because it was tribally based, the tribe of Levi was the tribe that carried the priestly paternal genes. It still does, as genetic testing for the Kohen (Priest) gene has proven. 75% of those men who have carried the family tradition of being Priests of the One Most High God for thousands of years, turned out to indeed be positive for the Kohen gene that has been traced back to Aaron. And thus to Melchizedek as well, as he was the direct paternal ancestor of Aaron. Yes, the Jews have always known who their priests are, this has never been lost - another lie the Christians tell "the records were all in the Temple which was destroyed", this is not true - the records were kept by the families, not in the Temple.
Melchizedek's parentage and lineage is well known in the Jewish Oral Torah which was given at the same time as the Written Torah on Mt. Sinai. The Written Torah says that Melchizedek had no father and no mother. However, the Oral Torah says that Melchizedek was Shem, who was one of the sons of Noah. Melchizedek was the direct paternal ancestor of Aaron, the lineage of Aaron that is the ONLY authorized Priesthood on the earth, forever (in perpetuity, as it says).
Melchizedek's lineage is:
Noah, Shem (Melchizedek), Arpachshad, Shelah, Eber, Peleg, Reu, Serug, Nahor, Terah, Abram (Abraham), Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Levi, Kohath, Amram, Aaron (the First Priest).
Anyway, back to your question. "You shall have no other Gods (or gods) before Me."
For Jews this literally means that you will not place anything before - in front of - God and pray through it. Not any man, not any man/god, not any "son" or "Son", not anything at all except God. And since there is no concept of a messiah who is part of God and who should be prayed to or "in the name of" , in Judaism, Jews do not commit idolatry by doing that as Christians do. This is the instruction the Jews were given on Mt. Sinai directly from God concerning this commandment.
So, you wanted to hear some thoughts, hope this has helped.

I think many Priest have a wrong interpretations of the Bible's content...
Notice that about 85% of the Bible's content is regarding Jesus and not to Him. And that's why Catholic made Jesus as one of their Gods though He wasn't!

Hi Spit,
We read in the scriptures that we are to pray to GOD thru HIS SON, Jesus Christ. Thus we do so to honor the one who gave HIS LIFE so mthat we might have an opportunity to be with the FATHER in the after-awhile. Have a wonderful evening.
