I have had this dream twice, at different times, when I was younger (pre-teens)

First... I was walking on this green-grassed hill then all of the sudden a terodactyl (flying dinosuar) flew over head but all I saw was its shadow and I also heard it screach. Then a bunch of firstgraders walked by... like they were on a feild trip.

Secound (had it a couple years later)... same exact thing but instead of first grader they were highschoolers!

This dream has bother me for years please help!

Dreams are a way for our minds to clear out the junk and process the information feed it during the day.
Having said that I must admit that I have had dreams that repeated over the years.
First off the people represent your mental/emotional age. The field trip could signify planned excursions where you have no control over directions and time. The hills mean life and adventure. The pterodactyl that you don't see is an idea of "the man" or authority that is always watching and is ready to strike you down.

Basically you feel that you have no control of your life, that you feel like you are just one of a crowd- yet feel isolated from them. Like you are watching your life from within it. And you worry that your life is being controlled by forces without you.

Dreams do have meaning, although sometimes they are more a representation of subconcious desires, fears, etc. Look at the different aspects, find out if they are important (if you remembered them, then they probably are), and find out what they mean to you. First, what does a green-grassed hill make you think of? Is there some significance to something in your life? Second, does the pterodactyl mean anything to you? Is it connected with the hill somehow? Maybe the kids? Third do the first graders portray something to you, such as maybe innocence, or maybe immaturity? Is it important that the hill is there? Does the shift from first graders to high schoolers mean something to you.

Let me give a short example from my own dreams:
I have reoccuring flying dreams, which I know many people do. There is one kind of dream where I can fly by 'willing' myself to. I just want to, and I do. One night I had a dream that I was being chased by someone who wanted to hurt me, get me in trouble, something like that (I don't remember exactly). I decided that I should just fly away by wanting to. When I starting 'willing' myself to fly, I could only get so far before falling, and I was eventually caught.
What does this mean to me? First, flying is a trigger for me of control over things; control over my emotions, life, etc. The person chasing me represents, to me, things that are bothering me in life, that are hard, that sort of thing. The difficult things in life are that person chasing me.
To tie it all together: this dream shows me that I feel like I'm losing control over my life, and that the trials are 'catching up,' and making me feel bad.

It took a long time to figure out what different things in my dreams meant, and it will be a life long process with dreams, but try to use the same process I just showed you to help you figure out what your dream means.

Maybe it just means that Time is flying right by you and that you aren't getting any younger...that you are at the same exact place you were years ago...in the same place the same town doing the same ordeal...maybe you don't want to end up like your parents and you want to move away from this god forsaken town...that is what the Flying Monster is all about....you want to fly away....

There is nothing to understand; dreams have no significance.
