I eat a normal sized one every day. Doesn't it seem ok because it fits into the food pyramid?

A cheeseburger has meat, dairy, and grains in one tasty bun. It also has lots of fat and calories. If you are not gaining weight and take a multivitamin every day then just worry about the fat in your arteries.

Yes, it makes Jesus cry, lol.

No, it's not wrong, per se. I mean, it's not the best thing for your health, but if you're talking about homemade burgers loaded with veggies, that's actually pretty good. Vegetables never hurt you, so load up on crunchy lettuce and juicy tomatoes! And ketchup and mustard can't bother you either. Just make sure you don't put too much mayo on (or eliminate it altogether). Also, try to make the burger with lean meat (or even turkey/similar, or soy) , and use whole wheat buns instead of white.

The food pyramid actually is kinda crappy. That's a guideline for the number of servings of each kind of thing a person might eat in a day, but then again that's just the generic 2000 calorie/day person. You might require only 1500, or as many as 2500. And, it doesn't say that you get the necessary vitamins, or give you any help regarding fat, sugar, fiber, or anything else. It doesn't do much.

So, you're just fine with the homemade burgers but you'd do better to avoid burgers -- and all fast food -- for your average meals. And forget the food pyramid. It won't do you much good.

Is it a fast food cheeseburger or one that you make? If it's fast food, then yes. You are probably consuming 400-500 calories in that one burger. A quarter of your daily calorie intake and a heck of a lot of fat, on average. If it's one that you make, with lean ground beef and whole wheat bread, then no it isn't as bad, but you do want to vary up what you eat so you get all your nutrients and vitamins.

I use to eat a double cheeseburger everyday at BK, i was hooked on them. Then one day my doctor suggested a complete blood profile or test be done because of my age. My colesterol was well in the 300 range plus i was still smoking. The doctor said i was a prime canadate for a heart attack and he put me on 20mg. of lipitor everyday. Since then i have quit burgers and smoking and my colesterol has dropped dramatically. So you may want your doc to check you out. My1Rx.com

If its from a fast food place then its not ok. These places use the worst quality meat around. Cheeseburgers are actually good for you because the meat aand cheese provide a good combination of protein its really the bread that isnt good for you because of the carbs. Bottom line is, cheeseburger good if you make it at home where you know where the meat is from or even a restaurant but NOT from a fast food place, enjoy!

It's not healthy...cut back on the cheeseburgers. Eat them two times a week instead. Start eating more chicken and pork products.

sounds incredibly candy to me rather a extremely solid thought they are delicious and much less high priced basically situation i could propose is have something else each and every so often so which you dont get desensitized to the awesomeness of a cheeseburger

umm i dont think there is a law against it but i would try eating something else besides a cheeseburger everyday so you stay healthy. you need much more in your diet plan than that for your body to maintain the vitamins and minerals it needs.

Its the best way to put on weight - if you eat a cheeseburger every day you can look forward to gaining at least a pound a week in weight
