I got my Bible 11 years ago and it was a gift. I am sure the person that gave it to me blessed it. Is it necessary to bless your Bible to keep the holiness?
I am just wondering because I know it can't hurt.

The Bible is God's Holy Word. That's blessing enough.

Hmmm, i have honestly NEVER heard of such i thing (off the top of my head) lol. I wouldn't think a bible needs to be blessed. I mean...all the blessing is inside. It is Holy's inspiration and a reference to holyness and everything under christian and Jewish standards are mostly based out this Holy sacred text we call the bible ya know...hmmmm "blessing the bible", most be some catholicthing am i right lol? No offense, just some play on the catholic denomination, hope this helped. PEACE.

I've never really heard of blessing a Bible. It's pretty holy on it's own. You're right though, it can't hurt.

I thought it was blessed anyways, I think that a human blessing a Bible is a little unnecessary, according to um, oh yeah, everything the Bible is about.

Umm. I don't know about blessing the Bible. Is this specific to a particular denomination?

I guess it can't hurt, but the Bible itself IS the blessing.

No the bible remains God's word regardless of age, or how torn and tattered it gets. No need for any ritualistic type behaviors to "keep it blessed" the message cannot change.

The Bible does not need anyone's blessing. Our lives are blessed by the Bible if we learn from it's contents.

If you have just a mustard seed of faith, your Bible will bless you!

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
