Compare the love of God to a glass of clear water. At the bottom of the glass is a sediment of dirt that may give you sickness. God said, "drink the water while it is still and avoid stirring or shaking the glass to prevent the sediments from moving up so you will not get sick." The sickness or curse which you may call it, is already there. If you do not obey God's command, then the suffering will happen. He did not do it to you, you chose it to happen to you.
So much laws have been written for men, with what is happening as you see it, do you think there is no reason for the curse? Was it punishment or consequence of disobedience? God's love is not blind, but it is just.

No, HE made us to be a family with HIM as FATHER. In order for us to be capable of true love we had to be given the choice to not love, because true love requires at least one choice to do so. So in HIS lovingkindness, HE gave us only one rule, and a simple one at that, so that we would have a choice.
Humans made their choice, and death was born, immediately GOD went to work to create the proccess by which we could be redeemed.
In the days of Moses HE symbolized how HE would redeem us when HE told Moses to put a statue of a serpent on a pole. The Israelites were plagued by deadly serpents and GOD told Moses to raise the serpent on the pole and all who would simply look at it would be saved from the serpents.
The events of the Old Testament were made to be a physical symbology of the spiritual truths to come in the time of JESUS the CHRIST (YESHUA HA'MASSIACH). The serpents were the symbols of sin and sin leads to spiritual death, sin was crucified on a pole, but instead of all of us taking the punishment, the guiltless HOLY LORD took our punishment upon HIMSELF and all who look to HIM and believe on HIM shall be saved from spiritual death.
Justice required that a huge price be paid, one so large that only GOD HIMSELF could pay it without being destroyed. So great was GOD's love for us, even when we were HIS enemies and mockers, that HE HIMSELF withstood not only a crucifixion but the entire punishment for all of our sins upon HIMSELF on our behalf.
The greatest and most loving FATHER invites us all into HIS kingdom, into HIS family and into HIS friendship.
Once again, we have a choice to make: believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that JESUS IS LORD and you will be saved.
May GOD bless you.

I am going to punish my children when I get old by calling them up and telling them whether I have or have not had a bowel movement for the day.
Its much simpler plan I think.

I am glad that you recognize that God is love--why do men choose to not go to heaven--and then blame God for their dumb decision..

If you don't believe it, then leave it alone. If you do believe it, then I can see why it bothers you in your state of rebellion. Yep, you have a problem - you believe it and want to stay rebellious too. All they crying and temper tandrums in the world won't change it.

Who knows what he had on his mind.... No, you need to love your children and raise them to believe in themselves.. Please don't raise them in fear of hell.... It truly messes with their head..
