Wow!! Sixth grade. Well when I was in school sixth grade meant new lockers, new friends, class periods, a whole lot of changes. Take it one day by day. It is not as bad as what you think. Sexual Education is not as bad as some people make it out to be. Child development is in some ways a little worse. I had that in ninth grade. Good Luck. I am sure you will do a great job being a big sixth grader! Rock that school's world!!!!

Don't worry, Grade six is no big deal. It's basically just a review of grade 5. Your teachers may be a little harder and you might get more work. But Hey, If you dont start getting harder stuff then when will you ever learn? Oh yeah, this is the grade where most people are in puberty, so there might be a little rebellion in your class. And the students will probably start dating one and other but you dont have to if you're not ready. Sex Education isnt all that bad, everyone will be laughing!
:) Good Luck !!!

6th grade is just a transition period, you have more classes and they expect you to grow up a lot over the summer. Sex Ed is no big deal. And trust me, DON'T SIT WITH YOUR FRIENDS!! you'll spend all your time giggling and making jokes and won't learn that much. You feel uncomfortable for about 3 days and then everyone forgets. I'm going in to 8th grade and believe me 6th grade was soooo easy!

don't worry about it, it blends in with the stuff you learnt in grade 5, just look forward to it, review over summer, and in grade 6 theyll just review what u did in grd 5 first and then theyll teach you some stuff im sure you wont have trouble with, i felt the same way when i was your age, just don't worry, itll be just like movin from the other grades, by the way, you will be a little grossed and amused at the same time with sex ed.

6th grade is GREAT! You'll love it!
You will get to attend class dances!
You will have different subjects with different teachers.
You will get to move around from classroom to classroom during different periods!
You will probably at one point in Jr. High kiss a girl for the first time and have your first real girlfriend (But don't get carried away).
Your going to LOVE it! Good luck and spend your summer looking forward to the next chapter in your life. Wahoooo!

6th grade and Jr High in general is a bunch of children trying to act "cool" by putting other children down. Just ignore them and don't take part. Its just people trying to compensate for their own low self esteem. Sex ed isnt to graphic... wait until high school sex ed. I watched a video of a woman giving birth

Oh man. I miss 6th grade. I am in 8th grade now, but i am so much more grown up since then. It is not much different from grade 5. If you are going to a new school with older kids, just don't act stupid and you'll be fine.

It's a lot of BS.
Everything they told me was wrong on SO many levels!
It is exceptionally useless if you are gay, or interested in positions other than the missionary.
They also try to scare you about STD's to the point where you feel helpless when you get one. They don't tell you enough details on what to do when you get one or how to avoid them.
