I tried all kinds of proactive crap and nothing seems to work. Yeah, it will work for a little but then it stops working. I tried all kinds of stuff that people tell me will work (eggs, toothpast ect.) I'm thinking about the lazer or the red/blue light. How much would each cost, and how effective is it? Are there any side effects? Please help,
thanks

Oh, and I eat really healthy. Almost no sugar, nothing fat nothing greasy. Usually sandwiches and vegies and fruits.

You sound a lot like me when you say you've tried the "Proactive crap" and it didn't work... But for me, though, Proactive didn't work because I wasn't using it TWICE a day... I was kinda lazy and only used it once a day...

The other problem I found with Proactive was the fact that the ingredient in the facewash or the lotion (Benzoyl Peroxide) wasn't strong enough (in the face wash & lotion, it was at 7%)...

However, I found that if I could find the ingredient in a different product at a stronger concentration (higher than 7%) it was going to work. Thus, I found Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. It's a Johnson & Johnson face wash that contains 10% Benzoyl peroxide. You can find it at a local Savon, Long's Drug Store, Walmart, Target, or even some grocery stores.

Here's a site with the picture of the bottle I have (it should be a purple, tube-like bottle):
http://www.baumannstore.com/pc-3237-356-clean-and-clear-continuous-control-acne-cleanser.aspx

I've been using it for two months now and the acne I thought would not go away finally has. Sure, I still have a few "breakouts" of one or two pimples, but what do you do? You just take it one day at a time...

Also, to replace the "lotion" part of the Proactive step, I bought a lotion that also has a stronger Benzoyl Peroxide (10%) concentration... It is Clearasil Daily Acne Control "Vanishing" cream...

Here is a picture of that stuff, too (it comes in a box, but it is also a tube-like bottle, small):
http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=16515&catid=13549&brand=8188&trx=BS-8188&trxp1=HPFP&trxp2=0&trxp3=16515&btrx=BS-8188

This stuff is strong! It says to put it only on where there is a breakout, but I put a thin layer all over my face so I won't have any future breakouts... It sounds like a lame commercial, but if you have a pimple at night, and you put this cream on in a thick layer, the pimple either goes away or has reduced in size by morning... No joke, I am not trying to sell you a line or anything... I am telling you this because I know what it is like to be frustrated with your skin! I've been there too, and still am!

Hang in there! It'll all work out! : )

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Getting rid of acne is not likely to happen. You can supress it but you are bound to get a break out sometimes. People wash their face with a baking soda scrub and that is said to work. I wash my face with grisi seaweed soap and mother of pearl soap. then I moisturise with aloe vera gel. Then if I still get a pimple I crush a aspirin and put it on the pimple overnight. All of these are very cheap and fairly natural so you may want to go that route before you go for laser surgery. OR maybe you have been doing too much to your face and it needs a break. Good luck

Get the laser stuff. Don't waste more time/ money on gimmicky crap.
Cost - It depends on the doctor, but one treatment shouldn't cost more than $100. Most recommend about 5 treatments.
Also, have you tried Zeno?
It won't work if your acnes are cystic, but it works for inflammable ones.

The best way to get rid of it is to let time pass :-) Believe me, you're the one that notices your acne the most. Everyone has it at some point, everyone understands.
