I am at the end of a long relationship. I've been thinking about getting a new tattoo to commemorate it. The one thing that comes to mind, that's unique, is the crash of the airship Hindenburg. But that would have to be big, detailed, and placement might be an issue. Does anybody have a better idea? Maybe I should just cool it with the tattoos. Five might be enough. Suggestions would be welcome.

if you want another tattoo then get one. five isn't enough if you don't think it is. so the end of this relationship reminds you of basically a "crash and burn"? how long has it been since the relationship ended? it may seem like a good idea right now to ink that on your body but it may be something that you wish you didn't have later in life.
what other things remind you of the end of the relationship? in my opinion tattoos don't have to be literal when in memory of something, whether it's good or bad.

good luck with your tattoo!

you can never have too many! you have much life to live, save the skin for the good years that are ahead of you.
so.........the Hindenburg idea might be giving this ending far too much meaning. what about a smaller plane going down? or a small sailboat capsized? or a just a ball of flames with the year written over it? or just the date in a circle with an 'x' thru it? no names! later ladies may not appreciate someone else's name on your bod!
good luck and let us know what you choose!!!

I'm in the same boat with you, my seven year just ended and it was a very difficult thing to end. I deff want a tattoo to remind me of being strong and ending a very unhealthy relationship. I was thinking about doing a quote like "It is better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all" Or a heart shaped lock, or something that reminds you of them.

Does it have to be an image? What about words? Is the ending a pleasant one?

Five maybe enough, if your in a serious career you may be running out of space to put 'em.

I wouldn't get a tattoo to signify something of THAT significance. Rule of thumb, if you don't know what you want and are asking other people what YOU should get, you don't need to get a tattoo. I have 8 tattoos and I was never stumped at what I wanted to get. All of my tattoos are pictures of things that came to ME in my OWN mind. Wait a while, something of REAL significance will come to you. Don't just get a tattoo to get a tattoo. Get something you REALLY want.

You have plenty of space left for them, if you like them like I do then do it.
what about a small picture of the Titantic with a ball and chain at the end that is sinking first! that was a love story that ended in disaster♥♥
