Well if it's anything like what i had to drink before having a IVT (i think that's what it was called) for Kidney stones, you will wish it was sweetened. The stuff i had was called Co-lytly...and was like drinking a ton of salt water. If i ever have to do that again, i will ask for the kids version which is flavored. And, what other said about being near a bathroom is exactly right. You will be going and going and going until there's nothing left to come out. You'd be surprised at how much Stuff is in ya. Try and keep the drink refrigerated as it is easier to down when it's cold, or at least for me it was. Hold your nose and start chugging.

No carbs, sugar or calories. They usually use a gallon jug of Golytle or two 45 ml bottles of Fleets Phospa soda. Both are packed full of salt and electrolytes which draw water into the intestine.

I think NuLYTELY Solution is what is widely used now. It provides effective and fast cleansing of the gastrointestinal tract.
It's clear, free of dyes, both glucose and sugar free. Contains no sodium sulfate, & is 52% less salty. It comes in about 4 flavors too.
Safe for a wide range of patients, from 6 months of age, to the elderly, and even diabetic patients. If you're getting a colonoscopy, ask your doctor for it.
Read more about it in the link below.

Golytly is a diuretic/laxative and flushes everything out of your system. I did not see a calorie count on the side of the label. A pharmacist could answer this question, though.
Best wishes.

Fred, Phil Connors here. I don't think you need to worry about the contents of that little cocktail! It's purpose is to flush and cleanse the GI tract. And believe me, it works! Make sure you're close to the pot when you chug that stuff down. Good luck - I hope the colonoscopy goes well! Phil.

It won't matter. Once you start drinking it you may as well just sit there on the throne. You won't be goin anywhere soon. When finished you will be clean as a whistle.

No. It has no nutritional value. That is why you have to take it in a small amount of time.
