They are giving away their hateful power and eventually they'll have to sleep. So if your a good person, you'll ignore it and watch as they get fired and a new person arrives. Usually they are thinking something that they can't handle and need attention to validate their hell. And so they look at you in hate and look away feeling like they need to hate to overcome the thing that they can't handle, usually someone else hating them, or most likely jealousy because someone has a good personality trait they don't have patience to try to find for themselves. And by the way, what are you doing looking at hateful people?

Make a hat out of tin foil and it will block the rays of hate. Make sure you take it off before you leave the building though or the sun will fry your brain.

You need the channel all your warm and fuzzies into a posative omega grid, making their powers useless. Also placing postet notes on their desk saying "I'm watching you" can have a similar affect.
