Maybe in a science fiction novel!

But seriously, people do start looking alike, although it's not genetics. When two people get along with each other, they often mirror each others actions and facial expressions. The longer they do that, the more their muscles start to build similar expressions. They may also have similar tastes in clothing, and start to buy stuff that looks similar. They may even go to the same hairdresser, if one finds a wonderful stylist and the other hates his/her hairdresser.

So, it's entirely possible to start looking alike. (-: But it's not genes. Maybe it's *jeans*!

No, genes can't be exchanged...unless you're having sex with them.

But you could start looking like them (or they start looking like you). At least in the way you dress. Simply because of wanting to fit in and/or be similar to the other person.

I knew of a group of caucasian preppies who had african american roomates, and guess what? The white guys started dressing and talking like gansta rappers.

Weird.

No, but married couples (or anyone living together) have been known to start looking like each other. Its a phenomenon caused, supposedly, by sharing similar behaviors and attitudes.
