Can you suppose for a moment that the god gene is real? Can you further suppose that this how God decides who he wants and who he doesn't? Would this make sense, as far the belief that God calls who he wants and those of us that have no faith, were never meant to be called in the first place? Do you think if this were true, you could stop condemning us, because we wouldn't be saved anyway, even if we wanted to be?

Do you think you could do that?

I am asking you guys to rationally think about something from another point of view. I am not bashing anybody, or being nasty. I am truly interested to see if you can think about someone else's perspective. How hard is that?

The "God gene" hypothesis has NOTHING to do with who is "chosen" or not chosen. It is about brain function, and how some people might be born predisposed to believe in ridiculous stories that couldn't possibly be true.

Since there is no such thing as free will, I could definitely entertain the possibility of religiosity being not only genetic, but inversely correlated with intelligence, but that STILL wouldn't explain everything.

Now, insanity. That would explain it all.

Yes. But why are you here? You are here because you like being told that you are comdemned? It makes no difference to me, don't get me wrong. It actually sounds like you were referring to something I said about God not wanting everybody.

So I can understand that you are curious about things that are religious. But why Christiaqnity? Will you post another question directed at Christians? Are you telling the truth when you say that you don't want to hear it anymore? Then why associate with them on a site that is devoted to religion?

You see, making sense is a two way street.

All people have the opportunity to accept God and anyone who goes before Jesus at the day of atonement will know that His judgment is just. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord and Just. You will not be able to stand before God and say that He was unfair to you. God will show you your question and say that I gave you what you asked for and left you alone for you to receive your fate.

If you do not want us to talk to you about religion or spirituality then just do not come in to this web site forum. Sounds like "logical choice" to your problem.

Hebrews 10:22
let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

If you accept his calling you are saved,If you don't ,then you're not. It's called freewill. NO one is predestined to be lost. God knows the beginning from the end What will happen is as if it has already happened with God. its in that context he Spoke of the called.

supposedly god is all loving and forgiving so all this crap doesn't make any difference anyway because you will be forgiven in the end...of course that is just according to the bible and i don't believe there is a god...so i am not really so worried about it.

It depends on which God you're referring to. The Christian God says that everyone must worship him or they go to hell.

Interesting theory but that would just lead to more persecution.
