If you have been exercising regularly, then you have added muscle, which weighs more than fat, but also allows you to burn more calories. Have you measured? You may be able to see the difference in your clothes before on the scale. Don't be a slave to the scale. I would cut out sodas altogether, whether diet or regular. You have made some positive changes. Keep up the good work and don't give up! Stay off the scale! Only weigh at the most once a week. Good luck and God bless!

Congrats for losing so far! Your body gets used to what you are doing after awhile so it is important to constantly change up what you are doing. That is why curves doesn't work so well after awhile. Sorry! Definetly cut out the soda! 3500 = 1 lb of fat -- so just image that it doesn't take many sodas to equal 3500 calories! Diet soda would be better, but water would be best! Maybe try crystal light or something if you just need the flavor!

I too struggled at first to lose any weight.
But to date I have now lost 8 pounds.
It took cutting out all coffee, reg. soda(I only drink 1-2 Sprite Zeros a day - It has no Caffeine or sugar or Calories) and sugar. Diet soda doesn't work.... It has Caffeine and Sugar sometimes more then regular.
And I cut down on portion sizes, drink lots of water ,exercise in the morning and take a 1.3 mile walk every evening.

for optimum reduction in weight (body fat) you really need t get 45-60 minutes of exercise 5-6x a week.

the diet ultimately determines the rate of fat loss and basically the shape of the body, exercise only provides the stimulus. you need to 86 the soda and other processed foods. the more healthy the diet the faster results will be seen.
