How do you KNOW they left no trace? Just because a bunch of unbelievers do not see it does not mean that it never happened. I'm watching it now, but it's over and hour long and I don't know that I can watch the whole thing, so, one question?
Did any of these "experts" find any sort of archaeological, or other scientific evidence that Jesus is the Christ? Were any of these experts LDS?
Here's one thing I noticed: they said that we declare the Book of Mormon to be "an historical account of the americas". However, it is, we believe, an historical account of a small portion of the western hemisphere, and a small number of people, in relation to the entire western hemisphere. No matter what early leaders said of it, later scholars have determined that this is not the case.
Sounds to me like tey make a lot of assumptions, but I will check it out further.

Michael Coe, an atheistic archeologist, said the following while discussing the topic of the lack of evidence for the Book of Mormon -
"But Mormonism is not the only religion that faces this problem of what's actually in the ground or in the documents that could back it up. Probably all religions have this problem in one way or the other. The Exodus, of course, in the Old Testament of the Bible is the best example of this, for which there's just absolutely no archaeological justification whatsoever; there's never been found any hard evidence that the Exodus took place. The same thing is true for Christianity. I mean, what's the hard evidence for the ascension, for instance, or even for the crucifixion? We haven't got it, in spite of a couple of thousand years of looking for it, but it's not going to be there."
Do you believe the Exodus took place? Do you believe in the crucifixion and ascension of Christ? Do you have archaeological evidence of these? How can you possibly believe in them if you have no archaeological evidence!?
Did I cause you to lose your faith in God? Probably not. Why? Because your religious beliefs are based on faith.
Consider this: If I’m an atheist that “doesn’t believe in the Bible” that doesn’t mean I think the book isn’t written by ancient people. It means I think the miraculous and religious parts are just myths. There is absolutely no archeological evidence that has been found that has suggested proof of the miraculous or religious nature of the Bible. None. Period. Finding Jericho doesn’t even come close. All that shows is that the Bible really is ancient literature (perhaps fictional literature). Was it’s ancient origins ever even in doubt?
Also consider this: If archeology can’t find evidence for the Exodus, you’re forced to either assume archeology isn’t that good at finding things (far far worse that you seem to believe) or you’re going to have to believe that part of the Bible is in fact fictional. I’d be curious which you’re going to choose to believe.
But what if archeology found evidence of the resurrection of Christ? That would prove beyond doubt that the Bible stories, including the religious and miraculous parts, were true and not just a bunch of myths of a long dead primitive people. Now that really would be something! You’re attempting to hold Mormons to this level of evidence. After all, wouldn’t unearthing a city that is clearly identifiable as Nephite prove beyond doubt that the LDS founder was a prophet of God? Wouldn’t it prove beyond doubt the existence of God? You’d have to convert to Mormonism (and so would everyone in the world) or else look like an extremely closed minded ignorant person. Our very existence would change and our relationship with God would no longer be based on faith.

1.Well, that doesn't mean there never WILL be. 2. Just because the video refuses to accept the evidence already found, does not make their claims true. 3. Also, can you respond to the charge that Noah's ark has never been found? What about the red sea being parted, the walls of Jericho falling down, and other biblical claims. It's a matter of faith, not stone hard evidence.
I've seen the whole video check out: www.josephsmithdvd.org for a point-by-point rebuttal the the above video.

I'm not going to watch something produced by "Living Hope Ministries" that is over 5 minutes long telling me about the Mormon religion. That's a waste of time.
I already know the Mormon religion is ridiculous without having another ridiculous group of holy rollers tell me that.

Its simple, there si proof but their proof is the inca and mayan temples/ruins, the thing they don't realize or admit was these people were idold worshippers who tore out a person's heart while it was beating and sacrificed it to their Gods. Ever see Apocoliptic by Mel Gibson? My husband says he love sviolent movies, but this movie about the Mayans gave him nightmares and the mormons want to be associated with these ruins as a testament tot he book of mormon evidence.

25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26 ¶ And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
(New Testament | John 20:25 - 29)
I know what we believe is true.
