And how do I get her to start going outside again?

I checked the door before I wrote, but thanks. No, she doesn't stay in the garage all the time; she only goes into the garage to get outside (doggie door from kitchen to garage and another from garage to outside). She was recently (almost 2 weeks ago) diagnosed with Cushings disease. The chemo made her feel pretty bad, but she started peeing in the garage AFTER she was done with the chemo (finished chemo 1 week ago; started peeing in the garage 2 days ago and seems to be going there every time). She was 4 when we adopted her (9 now) and our first dog, so I've never had any experience with a puppy or training one to go outside...she came that way!

Check to make sure the doggie dog still works. It may have gotten stuck in the closed position and thus you poor dog has no choice but to pee in the garage.

If the doggie dog is okay, then treat her like a puppy. Take her outside regularly to pee - and if she does go, give her some treats and lots of praise.

Also clean up the urine on the garage floor with an enzymatic cleaner that will leave no smell. Do not use bleach or anything with ammonia in it. This smells like urine to a dog and they will keep peeing on the same spot.

Does she stay in the garage all the time or just when you are gone? I was thinking maybe something scared her out there and she isn't going out at all?
My suggestion is to take her to the vet and have her checked for a Urinary tract infection... Urinating in odd places is a sign. Many dogs will start peeing on their own beds and things when there is a problem like that.
So I think either something scared her or she has a medical issue that needs checked out right away.

When my dogs are either physically ill or emotionally disturbed, they pee. Always in the wrong place, no matter their age or training, it is like a warning that they are some how really upset. Start with a Doctor visit to check out the health. then think of any New changes to your lives, and work on easing those issues if poss-able.

Spray that pet away to help her stop smelling where she pees. Close the garage doors so she can't get in. Also is it raining when she pees in the garage. My dog will not go in his dog run if it is raining.
