Mike Tyson was a phenomenon especially in the late 80's. He was fast and quick, both of hands and feet. And of course, he had dynamite fists that could knock his usually scared opponents out cold with just a single blow. As boxing fans, we must admit that, regardless of whether we like him or hate him, we all watched him - in awe.

I like Mike Tyson, I wish he could find peace, just peace. He's really had a rough go at things. I think people forget that athletes are people also, who have life issues, problems, etc.

Mike provided boxing with what it needed at the time a real heavyweight champion, and we could use that now. All the other stuff, well while I'm not overlooking it, I have a understanding of it. He was bred to fight, not given the life skills to live beyond the ring...and for all the thrills and great entertainment as well as the boost he brought to this sport of ours, YES, I like Mike Tyson, and I hope he finds some peace.

Professionally I like Mike Tyson. He was one of the most feared boxers of his time. The thing with Mike was, yeah he had a messed up childhood but that's not what I believe is really wrong with Mike. This guy was a the top of the boxing world in the ring and out. Then he gets charged for that B.S. True or not he is the only one that knows. Serve time in prison with murders, rapist, psycho people and his is expected to be this wonderful guy after getting released from prison. It is a proving fact that 100% of the people that serve a prison sentence come out mentally insane.

As a boxer, I liked Mike, he was good for boxing, and I was a fan, great fighter early on, with the best start a fighter ever was given in the business. Cus, Jacobs, Rooney, Atlas, even Clayton were the best at what they did, and with them behind Mike, he was invincible.

As a person, outside the ring if I ever saw him near any of my five daughters, you would read about it in the news papers the next day. As a human being, Mike Tyson is a failure, and a danger to women, and weaker people. The blogbaba considers rape a capitol offense, and if, God forbid anything like than was to happen to a member of my family, and I knew who and where the perp was, it would never get to court. Mike would not be welcome in my home, he is not the type of person I would associate with.

It's not like or hate, it's pity, but tempered with the caution attached to a dangerous anti-social criminal.

I personally like Mike Tyson. I believe if he wouldn't of got caught up with the wrong people he would be undefeated. I'm sure he could take anyone but he lost sight of what made him that ferocious puncher. I've never seen someone hit so quick and so hard in all my life. It's sad to see what became of him because he could of been greater than he was but greed lead him down the crapper and he is what he is now. Poor guy I feel sorry for him not a friend in the world.

I like Mike Tyson, but I am not sure when he decided to take on the bad guy role. During his early fights, he is one of the few boxers that would check on the status of his opponent after knocking him out. Most fighters these days just start dancing around the ring without any consideration for the man he just knocked out with his fists. TYSON RULES!!!!

I can't say that I hate him. There was a time when he was special. For about 5-years he was the most devistating heavyweight champion of all time. As fame consumed him he pushed eveyone away and replaced them all with yes-men. He was woefully unprepared to fight Buster Douglas and the loss changed everything for Tyson. Boxing misses him but he is not right in the head and will never fight in a sanctioned bout again.

Dosen't matter! He was a pawn in an entertainment business that everyone fed off. Fans loved the drama, the big time show he would put on. Everyone on his payroll loved the big checks.

You don't have to like someone to watch them perform. He was a good performer that made poor decisions, in the eyes of some. Everyone got caught up in IRON MIKE that it carried over to his personal life. You like or dislike people you come in contact with. A boxer doesn't care what anyone thinks, he's doing what he enjoys and pays him.

He was the most dominating fighter in his prime I have ever seen and that includes Mohammad Ali. I really don't like or dislike him but I do feel sorry for him. I know all the Ali fans will laugh at this, but I have seen more boxing matches that probably 99 percent of people who will answer this question.
