Hello. To answer your question, men like women who are confident. Many guys will tell you that they like a girl mainly for the look. But that type of mentality doesn't last too long. They eventually go for the beautiful and intelligent type. Personally, any woman who is confident, sweet, motivated, and intelligent is my kind of girl. The preferences vary among guys, but the majority of guy I know wants to settle down with this type of girl. Basically, this means just be true and pure and yourself. You're only 12 so don't worry about too much yet. But, I will admit that you are mature for your age. Don't pay any attention to the negative comments above. you're looking for answers to your things that puzzle you. That's worth a compliment and a pat on the back. At least you're thinking. If you are 12, you shouldn't worry this much yet. You should wait until you're older before trying to attract men. At this point, you're still "developing".
Generally though, I prefer girls who have a good personality - one who can have fun with me, etc. Meanwhile, at the same time, they need to be attractive.
This may differ. Just continue doing what you do, and things will turn out fine.

I know u said men only but i couldnt resist. Honey ur 12 u dont need to know about MEN try boys first and then u should take it slow. Trust me they act the same either way

If your 12 the only thing you need to think about it your education.
Get good grades in school, and do the right thing. That's what's most important now. I'd say wait a few years before you go chasing after any boys. : )

Sara, Above all honesty ! I like a girly girl,"hair, some make up, soft, loving,wears skirts and dresses. A gentle spirit with a g rated vocabulary. But I will admit I am an old fashioned guy ! My dear you are too young to worry about what men want! I am old enough to be your daddy. So please stick with boys our own age!

Well it really depends on the man. Main components include looks, personalility, independent. But seriously have a sense of humor, guys like to joke a lot and dont really give a **** about whose feelings they hurt...so its best to just not really take most things he says seriously. Also a girl that can just be herself is always good...

Well yeah the person should like you for who you are, Different people like different things about people its kind of hard to just give one answer because everyone likes something different from hair to eyes and even nose, people in general like a variety of things in a person.

boobs and butts (lol yahoo answers wont let me type ***) are important, but not crazy important. what gets me the most is the girls face in general, whether or not she has a cute smile etc. personality... well to many guys go for too many different things so w/e.
but yea a girl's smile is 1st for me
