I think abortions are only ok in cases where the mother will die, the baby is going to have debilitating birth defects that will never be cured that will cause it sever problems it's entire life, or the mother was raped. If you are consenting and you have sex you run the risk of getting pregnant. You should have to deal with the responsibility of having the child and deciding if you are going to keep it or if you are going to give it up for adoption. My biggest problem is that by the time most people find out they are pregnant the baby's heart is already beating on it's own. (The heart starts beating the 18th day after conception.) Not only that, but they have seen brain activity in babies at that stage of development. When I think about that it really makes me feel like people are killing their own child.

I don't tell people what to do. I just know what I am not going to do. Some people have abortions for health reasons, like their own life being at risk or maybe they were raped. That is brutal. Not a sexual act at all. I don't believe abortion is completely negative. Also, I don't believe men should have to sign for a woman to have an abortion, as most of the time that is why they have them in the first place.

I can't have children. But I would never judge someone for what choices they make.....There was a time when I would give anything to be able to have a baby.....I think the gift of life is precious and I am certainly very glad my children's Birth Mothers did not have an abortion....but we all must decide what moral code we live by and I will not pick from an ABC of possible reasons to stand on holy stones judging some woman because she faced a really hard choice.

Well, you're asking this on an adoption forum, so you're going to get a lot of people who choose D. I am sickened by people who use adoption as birth control and I don't think it should be legal except in extreme cases such as the mother's life being in danger. And of course, if there were fewer abortions, there would be more babies for people like me to adopt, so I would say B and D.

I alway say that if you did the crime you do the time, in this case the 18 years of raising the child however there are some circumstances that I think for certain people necessitate the need for abortions, such as rape, incest (which in my mind is also rape) etc. I myself will have any child I became pregnant with and raise them, for my close friends I'd say, I don't agree with you but I support whatever decision you make because it is your decision to make as far as anyone else, I would hope that they would consider all of their options before opting for an abortion.

Go to youtube, and punch in abortion. I threw up when I saw some of the footage. I foolishly used to work in a termination clinic and I still see a counsellor about my experiences. I'm totally against it. But when I was brutally raped at a very young age, giving birth just wasn't an option. Despite what I've just said, there are extenuating circumstances in which a termination could be justified, like SEVERE and I mean SEVERE congenital deformities that would end in a stillbirth.........but NEVER EVER just because you were too lazy to use birth control...

E.

I don't like abortions being used as birth control, but I do believe there are viable reasons for having one.

Besdies, if you cannot trust a woman with a CHOICE, how can you trust her with a CHILD?

Abortion needs to be between a woman and her doctor.

Abortion would be far less rampant if people were EDUCATED about sex and birth control and if people would stop being such prudes and insist that abstinence-only education be the only form of birth control taught in schools!! Young people are going to have sex; encourage them to protect themselves instead of just condemning them for being human.

It's absolutely sicking that some people wouldn't even support an abortion due to risks of the mothers life. In many cases the fetus won't even survive.
Let's just punish women and let them die because they had sex. Those bad, bad women.
