How to make really good cupcakes?

I need recipes for cupcakes for my sleepover and some ideas for designs.

Make some red, white and blue cupcakes.
Buy a box of white cake mix. Prepare batter as directed on box.
Divide the batter into 3 bowls, each bowl should have about 1 1/3 cups of batter.
Add blue food coloring to one bowl(about 1 tsp.) and red to another bowl. Leave the remaining batter white.
Line cupcake pan with papers, spray with cooking spray.
Pour 2 tablespoons of the red batter into each liner. Then white, then blue.
Bake according to package directions. When completely cooled, frost with vanilla frosting and use red, white, and/or blue sprinkles.
These cupcakes are so cute and fun!

1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup butter, melted
2 eggs



1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine all ingredients and mix well.
3. Spray a miniature muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
4. Fill each 3/4 full.
5. Bake in preheated oven for approx.
6. 18 minutes.

The easiest thing to do for great tasting cup cakes is buy cake mixes in whateve flavors you like, and follow the directions...there should be baking instructions for cup cakes. Instead of decorating them yourself, buy some basic icings and then some decorator tubes, and toppings and let your friends make their own cup cake designs. It's a good way to pass some time and have some creative fun.
