I bought the Nero 7 Essentials software, installed it and all is well, except that this program tells me the same thing my computer was--"there is no disk" or "insert disk" when there is a brand new one in there already. What am I doing wrong?? Some one PLEASE help--I'm going out of my mind trying to figure this out!!! Thanks.

Okay, I 'write' CDs all the time when I use my husband's computer, and write DVDs all the time when I use my computer, and while we both 'have' the Nero software, we find that is the WORST software to use. Why do I write CDs on his machine and DVDs on mine ... because his has the CD 'burner' and mine has the DVD burner ... and you have to have THAT before you can 'burn a CD' ... and since 'technology' is changing, I suggest that you get 'the best' DVD burner you can (mine will actually burn both CDs and DVDs on the SAME burner) and then get 'the very best' software ... which should 'come with the burner' itself. By burning your photos to DVD you'll have 'more room' and can program it so you can 'add more' until it's full, and still 'see what is there' when you put it in and 'read it' ...

NERO sucks.. i got Nero a few years ago and after days of frustration, asking friends, rehooking up, redownloading software, & trying to figure it out myself- i gave up. my computer friend had told me that the same thing happened to him with Nero- so he gave me his OMEGA burner and it was like heaven. if u can- u should trade it for an omega.

If you have XP, then you dont really need anything else, just right-click on the folder with pictures inside, choose SENT-TO and choose CD/CDRW/DVD
