There is no immediate cure for sunburns, but the pain can be relieved by hydrating the skin. This is done by applying products containing aloe, aloe with Lidocane, or vitamin E. Drinking fluids can aid in hydration, and eating high protein foods will assist tissue repair. Analgesics such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen can also reduce pain. One method to treatment involves applying a clean washcloth soaked with cool milk like a cold compress, since the lactic acid will help reduce inflammation and the cool towel will soothe the pain.
Blistered skin, with or without open sores, should heal on its own. As with any other open skin wound, it is best to avoid lotions or other directly applied ointments. However, antibacterial solutions and gauze can prevent skin infections.
The best treatment for most sunburns is time. Given a few weeks, they will heal. Overall, the most important aspect of sunburn care is to avoid the sun while healing, and to take precautions to prevent future burns.

If you want a cheap way that offers instant relief, vinagar is the way to go. I'm like you in that I don't sunburn, but when I do it is horrible. That aloe vera crap actually makes it burn for a day or two before it works, but vinegar feels like cool water, and it heals it quick too.

Use Aloe Vera. It is very soothing to a sunburn. some asprin can help but the aloe will help most. what helps the veyr most is remembering your suntan lotion before you go out in the sun so you don't burn in the first place!

go to the store and buy aloe vera and/or lotion. massage the aloe vera or lotion on the sunburnt area. wait for half an hour to an hour and then relax. Also, DO NOT take HOT SHOWERS!! a cool or cold shower would be the best, it would soothe the skin. expect lots-o-peeling and good luck!

It sounds weird but take a bath in some white vinegar. It wil take out the stinging and help the burn heal. After the bath you can apply aloe cream or gel.
