I wouldn't say that America was founded on Christian values.
America was founded on freedom. Freedom of religion is one of them. If one reads the Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights, it's all about the freedom of individual choice and protection of the individual citizen.
That's not to say that our founding fathers were not religious or were not christian. There's a good chance that they were. However, America was not founded on any type of religious beliefs.

I don't know about the values, but I do know America was created with a land of religious freedom in mind. I believe most of the founding fathers were Christian (could be wrong), so the laws they set forth may be influenced by Christianity, but they are not explicitly Christian.

The founding fathers took great care to base the US on very secular values. You must remember that most came to the US for the very reason of finding freedom from any kind of government sponsored religion.

Yes, our country was founded on Christian values. Look up all the founding fathers histories and they were pretty much believers in God whatever their particular religion. You must remember the concept of Atheism did not really gain popularity until Charles Darwin in the 1800's and his THEORY which he himself admitted was just a THEORY!

no,when the PILGRAM FATHERS left PLYMOUTH and arrived in AMERICA they barely survived the first year.only for the assistance of friendly indians who brought them food . within the next 12months, the fathers repayed them back by giving them ,SMALLPOX, MEASLES, and a few hundred rounds of musket shot.. it finally came to an end, in 1897, with the MASSACRE AT WOUNDED KNEE. the NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN was decimated.. there was no christian values. but there was greed, land theft, and more greed and more land theft, with quite a lot of murder threw in the melting pot. something comparable to the development of young AUSTRALIA. GOODNIGHT, AND GOD BLESS.

NO no no no..................
America was founded on the concept of religious FREEDOM.
the bill of rights, and the constitution. are almost word for word taken from the Iriquoi tribal council.
but it should not matter. we have amended the constitution to guraantee freedom of ALL religions. thus what it was founded on no longet matters it is what we are building today that should matter.

need sources. study a history book that is not controlled by the whims of the vastly Christian government.

From the outside, it appears that it has been founded on capitalist values.
And I don't think that will change any time soon.
