I have always hated the smell of pine. Christmas time was horrible with the Christmas tree in the house.

I remember when the car fresheners that are shaped like trees and smell like pine were popular I would have to make my mother put it in the glove compartment while riding in the car.

Do you know what happened? An 80 foot pine tree fell on my house. That's no joke. I knew there must have been a reason I hated that smell my whole life.

I was in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Southeast Asia. There was an A-26 bomber that had crashed in flames. I, among others, was detailed to pick up small body parts of the two aircrew...all burned. I'll never do it again...EVER.

It's a smell that you can't forget. I'll remember it the rest of my life.

I call it "the funk." It's essentially the smell that occurs from an obese person's inability to properly cleanse themselves. I work in surgery and this is the only smell that's ever bothered me, not even burned flesh is that bad.

liver cooking. At one time my wife needed to eat a lot of liver (which she loves - I hate) and when I came home from work and she was cooking liver I would get sick to my stomach. Dead bodies are so great either.
