turn ignition ON, the letter C should be displayed in the mirror . If not , hold the COMP button for 6 seconds until the letter C appears.
Now find an empty parking lot, or wide open space, drive the vehicle in a complete circle for a minimum of three times at less than 5MPH , until the display reads a compass direction.

Turn the vehicle ignition switch to the ON position. The letter C should be displayed in the mirror compass window. If not, hold the COMP switch for 6 seconds until the letter C is displayed in the mirror compass window.
In order to check the calibration quickly, perform the following steps:
Find an area free of large metal and metallic objects.
Drive the vehicle in a 360° circle at less than 5 MPH, until the display reads a compass direction.
If the compass does not calibrate after three 360° circles and the compass still displays C, replace the mirror assembly.
If the compass displays C to begin with and then displays all segments after 2 minutes, refer to Magnetic Field Description .
Normal calibration is achieved automatically by simply driving the vehicle.

don't forget to first set your compass region.
if you dot set compass region the reading is going to be
incorrect. Hold the mirror button until a number shows, after
the number shows release button and press to change number. see owner manual for region map.

either remove the fuse for the mirror, or disconnect the pos. and neg. post to the battery.. and then the compass will reset when you restor power...
