8 hours a week. I volunteer at a church that lets homeless people sleep in the basement. Add to that a couple of one time things a month and I would say about 40 hours a month.

You have succeeded in shaming me tremendously. I used to volunteer to many organizations when I was younger. Heart Fund, Boy Scouts, School organizations, Church, etc.
I now do no volunteer work. As soon as I recover from this heart surgery I have had, I definitely will get back in the habit.
Thank You for stepping on my toes on this issue.
We all should be concerned for others more so than ourselves.
God Bless you

I do most of my volunteer work during the summer, since I am a full-time student. Though my college does offer opportunities on the weekends and I do the occaisonal "fun-run."
Why?

not nearly enough, its so hard to find who needs volunteers in my area. All of the websites don't take down listings that are already filled.
