I am a runner and i have always run on the ball of my feet. I keep hearing that it is not good for my feet or legs and that i should run heel to toe, rolling my foot. That gives me shin splints and seems to put more starin on my legs. Are there any running shoes out there that are better for my style of running?

For a sprinter it is best to run on the balls of your toes at all times, and it is usually the same for distance runners. If running on the balls of your feet hurts you, try a heelstrike method where you heel hits the ground fast and you get to the balls of your feet ASAP.

I'm not sure, but I do know that women tend to walk on the balls on their feel and men walk rolling from heel to toe. Try www.runnersworld.com . The folks over there are wonderful :)

I think that if it's not bothering your legs to run on the balls of your feet, then you shouldn't at all be concerned.
