Whenever they feel like it if at all. I know that's not the answer you're hoping for but it's the truth. Sometimes they take a ton of words in and then start talking in sentences out of nowhere one day. Some never talk at all. Spend as much time as possible talking to her or him. Leave the TV on when you're not able to be with him. Most of all be patient and love him whether he talks or not :)

Some never do, some start whenever they want, and some start a few months. I've heard of some not talking until in their 20's and some talk, but we don't quite hear them. They may start by talking just before they go to bed. I've heard them practice after having their cage covered. Just keep talking to them, and include them in on your conversations. One day they may suprise you.

Who knows? Maybe never. There's no guarantee, but you can speed any process by clearly enunciating words and using the same words at the same time....
"Out! Want Out?" "Want a cookie?" "I love you" - you get the drift...Anyway...if she never talks, you still really DO love her, right?
