I'm not asking if you suddenly stop believing, but if it is hard to hold on sometimes? Thats how I got out of my religion. It became too overwhelming because science interested me so much.

It's not an attack against creationists, it's just a friendly question. I am refering to science in general.

No.

I'm an engineer. Between the theoretical and the practical I pick the practical every time and I end up doing a lot of things people tell me are impossible.

Of course if I believed everything theorists told me I would never accomplish anything.

There was a time of serious struggle early in my Christian experience because I had been taught evolution so thoroughly in college. The evolutionary world view was all that I knew. But a Dr. Henry Morris, founder of the Institute for Creation Research, visited our school while I was working on my Masters. His presentation, as a very qualified scientist, and recommended resources opened my mind up to another very different view which amazingly harmonized both true observable science and scripture. Of course, it takes an open and seeking mind to explore the creation materials. Many would rather condemn the position as foolish.

no longer likely. technology is to the innovations what the bible is to the soul. this is only a gadget to couple understand-how with faith. A backyard is gorgeous, yet technology tells us what makes particular vegetation a definite pigment... or why you are able to consume that plant yet no longer the only beside it... technology tells us what God did to make Earth self-conserving. whether some human beings corrupt it to create disease or destroy generations with tries at duplicating God's organic, organic and organic foodstuff, technology remains a pretty artwork. I evaluate technology to being the blueprints for God's maximum suitable magic trick. you should be sure the trick first and envelope your self in the childlike awe - attempt viewing the Grand Canyon... breath taking - then you definately will prefer to take a height decrease back degree and choose the way it works. You extra savour the genius of the magician, even however the mysticism is broken by way of. with out technology, we would not even have those issues many human beings are applying to get closer to God... which comprise automobiles, air conditioned homes and coushined seating. i do no longer understand why human beings will view the grand canyon and right this moment bypass to attempting to be sure the way it got here into being - nor do I understand the individuals who may be happy only observing it and getting lost in the distinctive emotions it reasons. Why can not extra human beings only get excitement from the awe inspiring creation of the Canyon with the two the wonder AND the technology? i'm hoping all those metaphors have the capacity to effectively exhibit how i've got confidence. as nicely, Lightsabers are being invented attributable to technology. Ain't no way God would not desire an uber cool lightsaber, mate.

I sort of know what you are talking about. I believe in God and believe that I am going to heaven, but I sometimes have a hard time understanding some things that are documented in the Bible. I need to see some sort of physical or scientific proof to understand why or how something could happen the way it did. If that's what you are looking for, I recommend Dispensational Truth by Clarence Larkin. It has many detailed flow charts and explanations and approaches it in a scientific manner.

I have no trouble with it. I have a MS in Biological Sciences, did research for 7 years at a med school and now teach 7th and 8th grade science. I am Catholic (some here won't call me christian but I am), I have almost finished an MA in pastoral ministry and have talked about how science and religion can actually compliment each other in class (I teach at a Catholic school).

I used to struggle with Evolution quite a bit. I've grown out of it. I think it might be because I have gone into such detail about the Bible that hardly anything surprises me anymore. But that doesn't mean that I've stopped learning. it just means that most of the major questions about whatever the truth is have been answered.

And after all that, I actually talk to real scientists. You know, the one's who are actually clinking test tubes, or looking into microscopes. They aren't even trying to figure out religion. They might have an opinion about it, but they aren't going to make a broad assumption that any of it isn't true. Some of them actually are Christian, some Buddhists, and one in particular hasn't committed to any religion.

It's not hard at all for me when it comes to faith when confronted by science. Science allows us to explain the physical world with which we live in, God cannot be explained scientifically since He is beyond anything we could possibly understand or imagine.

I find that many secular people blur the assumptions taken by the scientific theories so much with the dayta and the conclusions they have toruble realizing what the hidden assumptions, the data and the conclusions are

I have no problem and am a creationist and have 4 degrees in engenineering... the data is not the problem... the problem is the assumptions taken before looking at the data

I love science and one infallible way to determine when science is leading you wrong. That is when science seems to prove the non existence of God. That leaves no question in the minds of any rational person it is time to rethink the problem.

1)The big bang could have happened, it never said HOW God made the earth and the heavens or how long it took, remember God's day were probably alot longer than our days, it could have benn years.
2) Evalution- was proved wrong by SCIENCE
