There is an up coming dance at school and everyone has started deciding who they're going with but me. My bf hasn't asked me about it.I don't want to ask him cuz i'm really shy. My friend offered to ask him to the dance for me .Should I take her offer or not?

No! You and your bf need to create some kind of communication. How can you call someone your bf and not be able to talk about a simple thing like a dance. If you don't want to be straight forward and ask him, then just tell him, that you are going with or without him. This way he'll be forced to give you an answer like can I come with you or Nah, I was't planning on going. If he is joining you, then just have fun and if he decide not to join you, dump him. What good is a guy that can't communicate and doesn't want to go to a dance with HIS girlfriend. Don't send your friends to talk on your behalf...Speak up if you want to be heard!!

WHAT?! NO! if he's your boyfriend, heck no... she shouldn't take him!
bring it up casually, or jokingly... just kind of 'matter-of-factly' say -
hey, were we going to go to this dance?
or -
hey, did you want to go to that dance thing, or do somethin else that night? (sorry - not sure how old you are!)
... or scrunch your nose real quick and say 'hey, were you wanting to go to that dance," laugh a lil and "cuz as lame as it sounds i thnk i'm gonna have to ask my mom or dad" (again... don't know how old you are!)
... and of course, you could even say (assuming your school has signs up or something that could 'remind' you of it - heck, even if they didn't!)...
"we should totally go to that thing so we can
[make fun of everyone]
[watch everyone and find out how NOT to dance]
{make a bet how many girls/guys are standing on opposite sides of the room]
being your boyfriend, he may already assume you two are going, or he may even be shy too. maybe he's a lil nervous if he can't dance. you have no worries. if he says 'no', it's cool - say, 'let me know if you change your mind' and work on other plans, or ask someone else by saying "thought i was going with Bob, but he doesn't want to. you wanna go and meet up with everyone there so we don't look like goons standing in a corner' . it's not a bad thing. and trust me, gettin the guts to do that kind of thing now makes it ALL alot easier in the future! especially when you realize that 80% of these people either (a) won't be here in a couple years (b)won't remember in a few years (c) that YOU won't care what the heck they think in a few years.
ask him! don't let your 'friend' take him. if anything you could always get a group of people (including your bf) to go together.

NO, case the guy is going 2 think that u r a chicken.I m shy 2 and i know how it is, so i just go dance next 2 the guy, and be as cute as possible, and eventually he will ask u!

If he is your b/f, I think you have to ask him if he plans on going and if so, with who.
Don't let him step all over you, hold your ground, he will have more respect for you.
