It is ok.But,It's not just about the activity neither.You must eat healthy as well.It's best if you eat every 3-4 hours,without splurging on fattening foods and cut as much soda as you can or control it,drink a lot of water,and don't go to bed with your stomach full.

well im not trying to mean or anything but you should run about 4 times a week for a least 3 miles and the crunches and pushups you are doing are nothing. That will not help you lose dramatic weight so just improve that dramaticly, and eat very very little sugar and high protein. Also only eat whole wheat break and lots of fruits and veggies

If your asking if exercise is healthy, the answer is yes, but... I recommend that you get a thorough physical before starting an exercise routine. You may have an undetected problem that could be aggravated by exercise.
There are too many factors involved to be able to determine how fast you will lose weight.
As for the "best way," that is only a matter of opinion. In my opinion you should minimize or eliminated processed foods and consume as much unprocessed foods as possible, along with exercise.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Swimming is a great way to lose weight. I myself used to be about 30 pounds overweight and then i did swimteam and lost about 27 pounds! So swim laps for about an hour everyday all summer. That will help much!

watch what you eat....Cut down on the fat intake and dont drink juices.Juices have lot of sugar that is fatening...
