It is the American term for cream of 8%-10%. In Canada it is called Table Cream, in Britain Coffee Cream.

It is half cream and half whole milk. You can buy it pretty much anywhere that has dairy products. It comes in small containers because generally you don't use that much of it at a time.

half and half consists of even portions of heavy whipping cream and milk. you can make it yourself just buy the whipping cream in the same section as the milk. you can also use heavy whipping cream to make sour cream, just add 1 tblsp to 2 tblsps of vinegar to 1 cup of heavy cream and stir add a bit of salt and there you have it.

I don't know what it is but you can get it at any super market in the Dairy section. It is mostly used as the cream you put in your coffee without the flavoring. Like (French Vanilla or Hazelnut).
