I like helping people when I can. Sometimes you just run into people who have an attention span worthy only of single syllable words in sentences composed of four words or less.

Sometimes you run into people who are so illiterate they cannot understand complete sentences.
I am an engineer and I generally work with people who have IQ's as high as mine. Yahoo answers gives me the opportunity to run into some intelligent Christians and some mentally challenged atheists.

Where else can you find so many "Why does God allow bad things to happen, why doesn't he just make slaves out of everyone" questions?

The later helps me to build patience.

:-)
It makes me happy to know that there are others out there who feel the same way I do. I enjoy answering peoples' questions in hopes of somehow helping them. I enjoy reading peoples' differing opinions on things. There are so many views out there. I'm seeking love and knowledge.

i find it has the most interesting Qs and As out of the categories. i mooch on others but find a lot more going on here. i like to read about what people believe and have learnt a lot about different religions that i didn't know, even some religions i'd never heard of.
i also find it highly amusing at times.

I sort of found my way in sideways, but once I got here I was blown away by the level of ignorance shown by people who truly believe they are God's chosen few. Posters are slamming each other with completely inaccurate information. You would think people might want to take this opportunity to learn from each other.

And I hang around from time to time to remind these false prophets that they are not God nor do they speak for Him.

Pass time. I have no work in the office.

I am in the process, also trying to correct those, who I believe are not upto the mark. This being a serious subject, I value my contribution to it.

Further light and knowledge, and the opportunity to offer the same to others. Sharing.

Also, thinking about these things every morning makes me feel warm in my heart, and helps give me strength for my (otherwise rather boring) day.
