The Quran is translated into many different languages, but some arabic is difficult to translate in any language, thus leading to alot of misunderstandings.
I have been muslim for over 11 years, alhumdulilah, and I have several Qurans, one of which has the arabic writing along with the arabic pronunciation, translated into english. I would highly recommend learning arabic, as it is the beloved language of our faith.

I'm not Muslim, but judging by the fact that I do speak Arabic and have read the Qur'an in English with Arabic next to it - I can tell you that while translations are not WRONG, they're not perfect either.
If you want to understand it best, learn Arabic. Start by learning the script (use the "Alif Baa" book for best results), then start studying the language. Why not immerse yourself in an Arabic-speaking country for a bit? You'd learn so much both about your religion and Arabic.

alhumdulilah, I am a convert to Islam. Thank you God for giving me the light.
I struggle to learn Arabic but am grateful for the chance to learn it. I would do anything to be able to read the Quran completely in Arabic.
I live in Morocco and knowing Arabic would help me when I am out shopping too :) lol

Yes I am trying to learn Arabic so I can read the Qur'an in Arabic and also because my husband and his mother want me to learn Arabic so she can speak to me. I know a little Arabic but not a lot and know how to write a few letters of Arabic. I have a book on it and do my best to learn the letters. I even wrote some Arabic words successfully. Insha ALLAH I will get better in time.

I have considered it but I'm not sure how. There was a guy in my English class in college that entertained everybody one day writing their names in Arabic...everyone was amazed at how much more pretty or artful their name looked. I think I am finding the "deeper" understanding the same way I did when I read the Bible and the Torah...through God's grace and guidance.
Peace,
God be with you

Learning Arabic is a great idea for all Muslims. My husband is slowly teaching me. I converted less than a month ago and it has been a very rewarding experience for me

I would highly reccommend it. You can see the book as it was originally written and the populations of arabs in developed countries is increasing rapidly.
May Allah bless and give you peace.
