Years ago at my parish this topic was brought to the forfront because a member "came out" and the congregation was in an uproar. Our Priest at the time very quickly and quietly one Sunday during his homily stopped everyone in their tracks from the hurtful things that were being said.....The act of judgement in itself is a sin and we are to love the sinner and hate the sin. I do not answer that type of question often or if ever because that man at my parish was a very dear friend so for many years I have loved him, I do not condone his behavior, but it is not my place to sit in judgement. If his church family did not love him and support him as much as we can my question then how much further from Christ could we drive him? I make a choice to ignore the people who would attempt to draw me into an arguement and love the people God has put in my path. I have said this before that I will agee to disagree and we can disagree without being disagreeable. As to why there are so many questions who knows what goes on in other people's minds, and often it is to cause controversy and unrest among others. I think we should all remember this little thing Jesus said about treating others as we would like to be treated.......guess that was not such a little thing after all......
Peace be with you.

As long as religion is used as an excuse to further homophobic propaganda and denial of human rights to the LGBT community, it has a LOT to do w/ religion and spirituality.

Christians dont know how GOD feels...... since they have to preach love love love so they are confused as to what morals they have to follow.
Either they quote the OT and follow ALL the laws or they accept whatever the majority of society says is good and bad.
LOL

The absence of tolerance for homosexuals is a point that religion needs to be challenged on. This is one of many topics.

Because many Christians insist that homosexuality is sick and perverse, and they use God's word to back up their opinions.

I keep wondering the same thing.
Atheists and trolls like to bring up the subject every chance they get. They like discord.
