Well, the whole "be nice to each other" message was nice, but I think the germ theory of disease would have been much more useful.

The words recorded as being from Jesus speak usefully to a lot of people. Not to all people. But the "true believers" can not imagine that what they believe doesn't apply to everyone. That's part of christian teaching and beliefs.
Your question appears, to me, to only be asked to provoke the believers to make pejorative statements about non-believers. That narrow-mindedness is self-evident is comments like, " I think most atheists are not living full lives," "
He did. You just have to be willing to hear it," and, most egregiously, "If you had read the gospel then you would know that he did." These are true for you but not for others.
On the other hand a statement like, "Because he wasn't," is just the other side of the coin.
Religious belief systems are opinions. You can't argue about opinions and you're probably not going to change anyone's opinion unless they don't have much of one. Opinions become very, very dangerous when someone says, "My opinion is not only right for me, it's right for you and the rest of the world." With that belief it's a short step to picking up a sword or a gun or a bomb. IE, The Crusades, Inquisition, Salem Witch Trials, Lebanon, Ireland, fundamentalist christian and fundamentalist islamic beliefs. In my opinion this is all terribly sad but not everyone shares that opinion either.
And probably some one will be offended because I didn't use capital letters for the names of the religions...

Gosh, you just don't know your scriptures very well. Jesus
is the Son of God and He has explained everything we
need to know in His Book, called the Holy Bible. You
need to get into a Bible Study group where they really
do study the scriptures and you will see all the useful
things explained. (examples: help the poor, feed the
hungry, love your neighbor, do unto others as you'd have
them do unto you, keep my commandments, be kind to
one another, honor your father and mother, render unto
Caezar what is Caezars, pray for those who are hurting,
etc.) There are so many more I don't have room to name
all the useful ideas found in the Holy Bible....read them
for yourself, or watch some of the good religious programs
on tv for more information. God Bless.

Yes, he explained many useful things. He explained why He came. Jesus came to die on the cross so we could be forgiven of our sins. He also fulfilled many prophesies that were foretold in the Old Testament. He also explained to us about the kingdom of heaven and much much more

Jesus taught a philosophical message and the fact that you refuse to accept the necessity or use fullness of philosophy in one's life is the reason why I think most atheists are not living full lives.
