A college degree does not guarantee a trip to officer hood in the Corps. There are a multitude of physical, intelligence, and psychological test to go through. Then there is the intense training. Oh, by the way, there is no such word as "guarantee" in the Marine Corps. (former Marine)

False.
You will need a set number of credits then apply for the platoon leaders course at which time your application will be reviewed and a course of action decided on. It may be recommended that you actually complete your degree or you have more experience. I know very few officers who do not have, at least, their Bachelors degree and many have their masters.
Your best bet is to complete your degree during your first hitch and apply to become an officer afterward.

To the guy who pronounced "in uncomplicated terms Warrant officers" Fly Helicopters is purely uncomplicated stupid. officers fly helicopters too of each and every form(BlackHawk, Apache, ect). A Warrant Officer is purely an Enlisted guy who wanted a activity that "in uncomplicated terms" officers can do the army. Then they get caught without room for advertising(Warrant a million-5 grade) and don't flow alot. i'm an ROTC Cadet who's turning out to be a militia Officer. I exceeded on Naval ROTC, even however i replaced into usually happening. the army can provide extra area for progression(and advertising). you may substitute fields, and do categories of artwork in the army. As a 2nd Lieutenant you will no longer flow directly to Ranger college, yet you will immediatly get a Platoon. i'm attempting to branch in Aviation in the army, as a youthful 2nd Lieutenant. i could somewhat prefer to income a thank you to fly the AH-sixty 4 Apache. So we are in a similar boat, we the two prefer commissions, and the two prefer to fly choppers. I seen the Marines, yet submit to in recommendations they have the backside funds of any provider, and are relatively a ingredient-off of the army. They get very previous kit, and fly old Helicopters they shop having to refurbish. the army has each and every thing reducing side. in case you establish on the army you may make important in 6 years, in the Marines it is going to take 10. Even the loose ranks(1st Lieutenant and Captain) come slower in the Marines, even however they're supose to be "Time in Grade" rank

not necessarily. Not everyone with a degree is an Officer. you have to be accepted for a Commission, and they are not as simple to get as it is to enlist.
