I don't know why you would rinse a hamburger after cooking it, but yes it would be lower in calories. It would not be lower enough to make a difference but it would be lower! You would be use more calories by making the extra effort to rinse it off but once again not enough to make a difference. And a small side note all the flavor of food is in the fat why would you want to rinse off the flavor??

Oh please don't rinse the meat ! You will lose all the flavour - If you buy good quality meat it should not be too fatty - but in any case you only have to drain the fat from the pan and then let them rest on kitchen paper to soak up the grease.
You could also finish them off in the oven for a few minutes on a wire rack over an oven tray so that excess fat drips off! - I hope that helped!

I don't know that, but I will tell you that I boil my hb meat (unless frying patties) when I am using it as a filler, such as spaghetti or chili or tacos because it takes away so much more of the grease! I like it that way.
Anyway, I am not sure about calories, per se, but it has to help you by taking away some of the grease.

Definetely does. You can even cook a pound of raw hamburger in 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Drain well and rinse under water.
Put back in pan and season to taste for your recipe.
You will have yummy tender meat.

A bit. But it might be less enjoyable because you have rinsed off some of the flavor also.

My family blots any greasy food [ burgers, pizza, sandwiches with too much mayo ] with clean white paper towels. It absorbs the grease, but leaves all the flavor.
It's like draining chicken after you fry it.

Not sure about rinsing;
but I always pat it dry with a
paper towel and it will absorb
most of the grease, which would
mean less fat & less calories.

That's a little gross Billi. But if you put your burgers on a plate with paper towels on it to soak up the grease that helps and they taste better..
